Emily is the last living sibling of the Umpherville Family. She is the widow of a WW2 Veteran, her husband, the late Charlie Umpherville. Emily has been a lifetime member of the Prince Albert Indian Metis Friendship Centre since it opened in 1963. She was one of the founding members of the PAIMFC Lady’s Group. Emily has been residing in Muskoday since 1985 when she regained her status through Bill C31. Emily is an active member of the Muskoday Elders Group, and she most recently became a great, great, great, great, great grandmother. She will be celebrating her 87th birthday in June. She has attended every MFN Pow Wow and is a member of the FSIN Veterans senate.
